Explanation of name:   Generic name honors Dutch botanist Jan Kops.  Fruticosa means shrubby.

Natural range:   Tropical Asia

Recognition:   Shrub with opposite glossy leaves, milky sap, and light pink flowers with a deep pink eye

Landscape uses:   Shrub with pretty pink flowers reminiscent of Madagascar Periwinkle. Reportedly does not tolerate much pruning.  Wet soil is ok.
