Natural range: Mediterranean Region

Recognition: Small, palmate-leaved, multi-trunked palm, the leaves often but not always blue-green or silvery, the blades wedge-shaped, on long, toothy petioles

Landscape uses: Valued mostly for cold hardiness, this is s small, multi-stemmed, palmate-leaved palm used for clumps, specimens (may require extensive training if multistemmed clump is not satisfactory), accents, and containers. Slow-growing.
