Bischofiaceae

Bishopwood Family

A family consisting only of the two-species genus Bischofia, traditionally placed in the Euphorbiaceae. Trees with alternate compound leaves, these usually with 3(5) leaflets. Flowers usually dioecious, having 5 uniseriate perianth parts, the 5 stamens opposite the perianth parts. Pistil of 3 carpels.
