Explanation of name:   The genus name honors Filippo Degli Albizzi, Italian naturalist.  Lebbeck is a local name for the tree.

Natural range:   Tropical Asia

Recognition:   Fast-growing weedy tree having doubly compound leaves with even-pinnate leaflets, white powder puff flowers; and dangling, persistent flat brown pods

Landscape uses:  Category I invasive exotic.  Encountered frequently but not recommended for landscaping
