Explanation of name:   Arachis comes from a Greek arakis, meaning legume. Glabrata means nearly hairless.

Natural range: South America

Recognition:  Leguminous ground-cover with yellow pealike flowers

Landscape uses: Groundcover. Low-growing, tough, aggressive, nitrogen-fixing, drought tolerant (may require some water in times of drought).  Seedless.  Flowers reportedly edible.
