Explanation of name: Strongyl means round, or compact. Odon means tooth. Macro means large. Botrys means cluster of grapes, probably in reference to the large panicle.

Natural range: Philippines

Recognition: Woody vine with large dangling panicles of jade green flowers

Landscape uses:  Large woody vine on a pergola or heavy trellis with striking bright green flowers in massive dangling panicles. Propagate by seeds, layers, or cuttings. According to CHR, best with roots in shade and top in sun.
