Recognition:  Year round flowering plant with simple opposite leaves.   Flowers red, tubular. Additional cupheas are listed in the previous entry.

Landscape uses:  Specimen, novelty. Used as a border plant.  Moderate drought tolerance, poor salt tolerance.  Resistance to most pests/diseases.
