Four-O’Clock Family

A small family of some 30 genera and 300 speies (BA1), mostly in warm climates. Leaves simple and without stipules. Flowers usually with bracts, these sometimes showy, without petals, the sepals forming a tube. Pistil 1, with 1 style, the ovary 1-chambered, with 1 ovule. Fruit an achene.
