Pandanus Family, Screwpine Family

A
three-genus tropical family dominated by Pandanus, the Screw-Pines. The
plants are treelike, or vines, or epiphytes, often with prop roots. Leaves
usually linear, usually 3-ranked and often twisted due to twisting of the stem.
Flowers tiny, usually tightly clustered into dense heads. Fruits derived from
multiple flowers.
