Explanation of name:   The generic name means Passionflower.  Suberosa means corky.

Natural range:   Native to Florida

Recognition:   Flowers small (the size of a quarter), greenish-yellow, not showy

Landscape uses:    Modest vine valued as a native butterfly plant.   Larval food plant for Gulf Fitillary, Julia Longwing, and Zebra Longwing.  Zebra Longwings consume the nectar and probably the pollen.
