Rose Family

Although a large and important family worldwide, the Rose Family is not strongly represented in South Florida landscaping.  The Loquat is Eriobotrya japonica (Thunb.) Lindl.  Roses are cultivated here, and Indian Hawthorn (see below) is a much-used small shrub.
