Explanation
of name:
Genus named for Rev. Olof
Toren, 18th century Swedish chaplain of the British East India Co. Specific
epithet for botanist Eugene Fournier who published the original account of the
species.

Recognition:
Snapdragon-shaped blue (or pink or white) flowers with the stamens forming a
wishbone at the throat. The Panda Series are dwarf, 4”-8” tall (CHR).
Landscape
uses:
Showy-flowered annual tolerant of limited shade and of South Florida summer.
Best in dappled sun with ample moisture. Self-seeds and has escaped
cultivation. May be grown from cuttings
