of name:
Generic name a latinized variant of Louisa, Maria Louisa, wife of King Charles
IV of Spain, died 1819 (BA1). Triphylla means three-leaved in reference
to the whorled leaves.

whorled, fragrant, lanceolate leaves glandular-dotted beneath. Flowers small,
