Recognition:
Perennial forms clumps up to 3‘ tall. Leaf
blades broad and slightly wavy narrowing to a sharp point with stiff hairs along
margins. Ligule short and fringed. Inflorescence slender and branching with
seeds tightly spaced along undersides of stalks.
Other:
Extremely common weed in lawns and along roadsides.
